Baa Atoll Baa Atoll, Maldives is comprised of 3 separate atolls, consisting of 75 islands, only 13 of which are inhabited. The waters surrounding the Baa Atolls are famous among divers around the world, and have been declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The reefs, lagoons and mangroves are a protected sanctuary for a number of unique marine life, including manta rays, whale sharks, the frigate bird, marine turtles, rare corals, and sea slugs that are only recorded from Baa Atoll. |
